Teaver Street Baptist celebrates teen’s return after beating most cancers

On Monday, associates, household and different family members gave a triumphant welcome residence to most cancers survivor Kaydence Highland.
Firefighters and deputies escorted the 15-year-old to her residence church at Teaver Street Baptist Church on Monday night after she courageously battled and beat leukemia.
The teenager was identified with acute myeloid leukemia again in August 2021 on the age of 12. After present process many rounds of chemotherapy, Kaydence gave the impression to be successful the battle in opposition to most cancers however docs confirmed in December that the leukemia had returned.
However Kaydence’s story doesn’t finish there. She continued to struggle and with the assistance of a bone marrow transplant, docs say she is cancer-free as of March.
Kaydence’s mother, Lynn Highland, says that is her daughter’s first time residence because the transplant and studying she is cancer-free.
Dozens gathered on the church to welcome Kaydence residence, celebrating her with indicators and balloons.
Kaydence stated the expertise was a bit overwhelming however she is blissful to be residence.
“We’re simply grateful and blessed and couldn’t be happier,” Lynn stated.
