Is There Such a Factor After Most cancers?

I submitted this poem as a result of I consider a few of us survivors work so laborious whereas coping with the most cancers that after we are performed and survived, we really feel the darkness.

Good To Go

Is anybody ever “good to go” after most cancers therapies? A survivor ponders this query in a poem.

I spray the fragrance as soon as.

Then once more.

Nobody however me to inhale it.

However that’s OK.

I’ve all the time been obsessed by my olfactory senses.

I determine the fragrance bottles

Stacked in entrance of the overflowing bookcases

Have to have the mud and cobwebs blown off.

Actually, I ought to have sprayed this earlier than.

Fairly, fairly bottles.

What am I saving them for?

This powerful winter

After the most cancers

has seen me digging a gap

for myself.

I can’t see the ending.

But I do know it’s getting nearer.

I can’t see it.

They inform me it’s good.

My ideas drive in direction of darkness.

The endings crash and burn.

I’m so good at writing endings.

Simply let it go I inform myself.

Simpler stated than performed.

The scans are good they are saying.

Since we will’t take out the uterus,

hold an eye fixed out for the signs they are saying.

Radiation’s over.

You’re good to go.

Really, I’m not.

I believe I’ll spray some extra fragrance.
