A Kerala-based couple confronted with mounting money owed on account of most cancers remedy ended their lives in Nagpur, a police official stated on Friday.
Riju Vijayan alias Vijay Nair (42) and his spouse Priya Nair (40) allegedly consumed a mushy drink laced with poison on Wednesday, the Jaripatka police station official stated.
“They have been dwelling in a rented lodging in Gajanan Nagar. Priya was identified with mind most cancers a while in the past they usually had come right here for remedy. Since he needed to spend not less than Rs 20,000 per week for his spouse’s most cancers remedy, he began taking loans from individuals,” the official stated.

The deceased hailed from Thiruvananthapuram, the official added.
