Thursday’s blood drive on the Haverford CREC is being held in honor of an area 10-year-old boy battling acute lymphoblastic leukemia.
HAVERFORD TOWNSHIP, PA — Residents in and round Haverford are invited to donate blood Thursday in honor of an area boy who’s battling most cancers.
The American Purple Cross is internet hosting a blood drive from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday on the Haverford Group Recreation & Environmental Heart.
This drive is being held in honor of Beckett Campbell.
The ten-year-old boy is presently battling acute lymphoblastic leukemia, in line with organizers.
Campbell, within the early days of his remedy, required 30 blood transfusions to easily start his chemotherapy.
Organizers stated he’s set to be deemed “most cancers free” in November 2028 due to the specialists at Kids’s Hospital of Philadelphia, and to individuals who donate blood.
