Troy’s Chris Lewis is not going to play in 2024 after most cancers therapy


Troy large receiver Chris Lewis is not going to play for the Trojans this season within the wake of his most cancers prognosis, therapy and surgical procedure, he instructed ESPN’s Pete Thamel. He’ll enroll in class and work as a pupil assistant coach.

In March, Lewis opened up about his most cancers prognosis, saying he discovered a few mass in his left knee via an MRI after Troy’s win within the Solar Belt title sport. He was identified with osteosarcoma, and the mass behind his knee was identified as an aggressive malignant bone tumor in his left femur.

“I used to be simply misplaced,” Lewis instructed ESPN. “How did that occur? I used to be misplaced for phrases. It was a number of questions.”

Lewis had surgical procedure to take away the tumor from his femur earlier this spring following a 10-week chemotherapy therapy.
